ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION

The Queen Anne's County Mental Health Committee (QACMHC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established to support those members of our community who need assistance coping with mental illness. The group was founded in 1986 by Lynette Nielson, who realized that local mental health programs needed access to additional funds to serve the needs of their patients.

Our board of volunteers endeavors to continue her vision.  Since that time, we have raised over $675,000 through our fundraisers, direct solicitations, and a small legacy, which allows us to provide grants to local organizations that provide mental health services to residents of Queen Anne's County.

OR send your check to:

QACMHC, P.O. Box 183, Queenstown, MD 21658.

Please remember your donation, large or small, is very much appreciated. Thank you!

THANK YOU
to the following organizations that have provided grants to QACMHC this year:

  • The Carol and Gene Ludwig Family Foundation

  • Crescent City Charities, Inc.

  • Maryland Primary Care Physicians

QACMHC Supports McNew Center

We are proud to announce our recent donation of $50,000 to the Luminis/AAMC J. Kent McNew Family Medical Center, a new state-of-the-art mental health facility in Annapolis. The fund will be used to assist Queen Anne’s County residents who face financial burdens while seeking treatment at the center by helping them with expenses such as rent, utilities, car/travel, childcare, groceries, eye glasses, and dental work.
